Thank you from Doctor Computer! |
Dear Friends,
Adam and I wanted to thank you
all for your help with the computers and parts
you contributed towards donations we did
throughout 2007. We were able to donate
approximately 100 computers to organizations in
the New York and New Jersey area with your
generosity and help. We built after school
computer centers in 8 different Boys and Girls
Clubs, gave children who are patients of the
Valerie Fund computers after treatments to help
comfort them while they were healing, and
several other organizations were also given
PCs. We are working to make 2008 just as
special as 2007 and have currently donated
towards an AIDS hospice in Newark and an after
school program for under privileged kids.
After visiting Africa this past Christmas, we
have become inspired to try to help with the
building of schools there, by donating
computers. And, we will be donating computers
through a local organization that will be
sending them to schools being built across
Africa. If you are considering purchasing a new
computer and would like to donate your older
computer towards any of these causes, please
contact us. If you buy a new computer through
Doctor Computer, we can easily take your old
computer away after the setup of your new
computer and fix it up and donate it, as we have
with so many computers the past 5 years. We
hope to make 2008 a wonderful year for those in
need by donating lots of computers. With your
help, I know we can make this a reality.
Thanks for your support and
contribution,
Cori

We at Doctor Computer are committed to making sure that all
families and children in need are able to use a computer to
better their life. We are proud of our continued dedication
to donating refurbished and rebuilt computers to charities.
We currently accept donations for older but not ancient
laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals. We then
rebuild these machines to make them up to date with today’s
standards, and donate them to worth charities. We have
donated hundreds of computers to organizations that include
but are not limited to The Valerie Fund, Big Brothers Big
Sisters, YMCA, Battered Women’s Shelters, and many
under-funded after school programs that help kids and
underprivileged families working to have a better life.
Please let us know if you are either interested in having
computers donated to a worthy organization or if you have
computer parts you’d like to donate
We truly
appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to help the
worthy causes we support.
The Valerie Fund, which
is an organization for children with cancer, is the main charity
that they are affiliated with. The computers are given to a
child with cancer who does not have a personal computer so that
they will now have a computer of their own at home. The
debilitating treatments often leave these sick children isolated
from their friends and school work. Giving them a computer of
their own will enable these kids to stay in contact with their
friends, continue doing school work, and uplift their spirits by
restoring a sense of normalcy in their lives.
The donations are not
limited to this fund, they also have set up computer labs
for after school programs. Doctor Computer’s philanthropic duo
is donating between ten and fifteen computers a month.
